I’d maximise the playing area 1st update, too much dead screen. 

Then drag n drop tower placement with a preview of the weapons range. 

Styling wise, my initial reaction was “machine gun turrets and RPGs in a medieval feeling theme?”

I’ll improve the game, especially the range display when placing a tower and all that.
Not sure if you know, but you can click on a tower to upgrade it, and you can also see its range – although not fully, I agree.

Feels like the values are a bit unbalanced to start but seems to even out. I can't tell range of any weapons and that sucks. Overall like the animation and idea, keep going!
