Italy’s north-south divide in terms of wealth is really frustrating. The northern regions are very developed, with a strong industrial base and low unemployment, but the south has lagged behind for decades. It’s one of the biggest obstacles to Italy’s economic progress, and I don’t know if enough is being done to address it.
