Oz is creating the next generation of storytelling entertainment onchain. It is the culmination of over thirty years of creative writing and over decade of game mechanic writing and testing.

Ozmium is a fair launch Project Token that is also the game’s core utility token that will be used to handle onchain interactions that influence the realm as well as things like NFTs used in the game.
I picked Clanker because their platform is solid, and it exemplifies the blockchain use case that this specific idea works best with. So I was happy to settle with Clanker’s launchpad to offload a massive amount of challenges that come with this endeavor, meaning I can focus more on the game functions, and less on the project token mechanics.
There is no presale or token vault so this is a free market decided token. LP is on Uniswap. Have at, knowing Ozmium is the token which powers Oz in lore and in-app!
Creator rewards pay for hardware, every $2000 is one full month I can commit 40+ hour weeks to this project.

Just the initial waiting screen for now. I’ll be updating and adding more. My hope is to give something that can be “live built” as well going into the summer so people can still enjoy and get into the game even before the system and first campaign series is launched this summer.

The story premise is a place referred to as “the veil” in lore. Within this place, all roads eventually lead you to a great city of Oz. Not unlike the books “emerald-tinted glasses”, the city has an ephemeral state that seemingly churns prosperity so long as its denizens (e.g., you) spend time there.
Once upon a time, a great ruler Pastorio used dream-like abilities to create Oz for reasons yet known. He left, and in his place to rule Oz he left an AI named Ozwald to maintain the balance of all the prosperity and magic in Oz.
Ever since, journeys have come and gone by others seeking to protect or exploit Ozwald, or to seek Pastorio for various reasons. The further you explore the more questions the answers will bring you but this a story meant to dive into at any point for any length of time.
But your’s could even be about something entirely new, different, or somewhere else. After all, this Oz wasn’t always “Oz”… 🫣

There is somewhere around 30 years worth of story being put into campaign hooks so that, like many other storyteller systems like Dungeons & Dragons (I did some time at WotC 👀) and Pathfinder, as well as with the innovation now that we have all seen and experienced new ideas like Discord, Roll20, and DMs Guild.
Now it’s time to create the onchain standard and I hope Oz will lead it.
Also, having a law degree (Juris Doctor) and a lot of experience in areas related to the non-technical non-creative side to all this is really going to help because I don’t have the same deskjockey challenges a lot of other indie entertainment projects run into. Especially in seed funding/project planning. 🤓

As for battle mechanics, I have so many years of battle-tested formulas on spreadsheets (and entire campaign systems. You can find some posts I’ve made on Farcaster about TTRPG google sheets, lol.
You can only do so much “prep” before it’s time to build product.
And this place has given me a lot of support in building good things so. :)
