Fun Fact (or well, this one is less fun.)
One of the risks of “The Big One” in the Pacific Northwest is not just the earthquake or tsunami concern, but miasma released from the underground volcanic system settling into difficult evacuation routes. 
The noxious gasses are a lesser but significantly substantial threat CERT teams have simulated, which is part of why such a large fault line shock event has such a wide radius of damage- the sea, the land, and the air are all at risk when The Big One occurs.
