A toonish sassafras might exclaim “sufferin’ succotash!” when a bunch of susurrus is giving in earshot, like when mice come alive after midnight in the wall AND drive me up it. City’s a quiet enough one there isn’t that ambient noise to drown out their pitter-patter, nesting, and chewing as they mosey about… 🙃
(Rural problems, lol. We’ve let the cat back into the unfinished area of our basement to get in there and evict them- it’s gotten quieter since, sorry little guys. 🐭💀)
