Austria, 1946. A six-year-old orphan named Werfel received his first pair of new shoes. The great joy of a little person, sincere emotions, and purity... To enjoy simple things, to appreciate what we have, is what we lack in life. I wonder, I thought, if we adults have such a strong ability to enjoy... Or is it all in the depths of our souls... Do all our emotions remain there?
