Oumi (oumizoumi)

Hi everybody🤗, super new and trying to figure out how this app works. Figured I would reach out to the poets (always my favorite community in any space) and share with you one of my all time favorite pieces ive written, despite it being far from the best. I wrote this poem about and for my first love (rolled up and placed in a bottle with a corkscrew) when i was a completely enamored starry eyed dramatic teenager (6 years ago when i was 17) and i love reading it because of the surge of memories and naive feelings it brings back😄. Dont make too much fun of my baby self yall🤣🤣 she was ready to runaway with him. I titled it: Colored in Love Described it with: For the days when I lived in ruin, and the voice of another became the rope that pulled me back to color. This is what it means to be seen, and saved, by something tender.
