I was grocery shopping when I noticed a man in front of me counting the change in his pocket, looking frustrated. He was short a couple of dollars for his groceries. I wasn’t sure what made me do it, but I stepped forward and paid the difference. He looked at me in surprise and said, “Thank you so much, I was really struggling today.” It was a small gesture, but it made me realize how even a few dollars can have a big impact on someone’s day.
