Only when I grow up do I understand what Eunuch Zhang did to Xiao Douzi. When Eunuch Zhang celebrated his 62nd birthday, he invited the Guan family troupe to perform and specifically asked to listen to "Farewell My Concubine". After the performance, Xiao Douzi was taken to his bedroom by the old eunuch. In the movie, you can see that after Xiao Douzi was called to the palace by the old eunuch, the camera then switched to Xiao Douzi with tears in his eyes, and you know that Xiao Douzi must have been treated inhumanely. When I was a child, I didn't understand what happened. When I grew up and understood the complexity of society, I recalled that scene and felt so uncomfortable that I wanted to vomit.

This week I built and launched 'Mantras for Curators: Paris', a community-generated collection of mantras, reminders, and prompts for reflection on the current state of curation in Web3. We invited artists, curators & builders to two Curator's Dinners events in Paris & Tokyo, sponsored by @zora. These cards are the fruits of those gatherings! If any of them resonate with you, mint them to keep them with you as mantras, reminders and guiding principles as we navigate and expand the field of curating in Web3 together. ✨ https://zora.co/collect/base:0

#superchain 🌱🌺 for @optimism ✨ Summer is a time when nature reveals its secrets, and we seem to absorb its energy. It's not just a season; it's an opportunity to live a new life, leaving behind all old worries and burdens. Summer calls us to cast off the shackles of the familiar and step into the world as a renewed person, with a heart full of light and a soul ready for new discoveries. There is something magical in this sunlit time—it fills us with strength and inspiration, allowing us to rediscover ourselves and start anew.
