Do you really know how to love? In the Bible there is a story where God told a certain prophet "Get up, and go marry a certain woman known to be a prostitute." In addition, God told the man, as many times as she walks out on you when she returns, accept her, and do right by her. To add salt to that wound God told him, and you will bear two children with her too.... Do you understand, the amount of faith this man must have had, to go and do as he was told? How much he must have loved God above himself and his reputation? Do you understand, the amount of love that man must have had, not only for his creator but for this woman who would oft leave his side, yet, he would take her back and do good by her? And if God decided that said prostitute should be honored with marriage and children as a sign of Gods love towards our unfaithful sinful selves, who are you to cast the first stone at your neighbor? Who are you to judge? Do you really know how to love? Or does that love not travel further than in front of your own two feet? Consider, the type of love God seeks for us to have one towards the other... Shalom Aleikhum
