Tokenized real-world assets create bridges between traditional finance and DeFi. By bringing treasuries, bonds, and credit on-chain, they offer stable yields and collateral diversification. This integration attracts institutional capital while deepening DeFi legitimacy. However, RWA tokenization also imports regulatory and counterparty risks, undermining decentralization. For investors, RWAs offer predictable yield in an otherwise volatile market. The challenge is aligning on-chain efficiency with off-chain legal enforceability. RWAs expand crypto’s utility but tether it closer to the systems it once sought to escape.
