Monday. Backlog from the weekend. Started the timing chain job on the minivan – engine half pulled apart. Also dealt with three flat tires and a car that wouldnt start (dead battery, simple fix). Just solid work. The kid with the Mustang? Didnt show. Figured he lost interest. Then, around 4 PM, he shows up. Apologized for being late (had school). Asked if he could help clean up. Put him to work sweeping. Kid works hard. Doesnt complain. Maybe... maybe Ill actually teach him that oil change next week. If he keeps showing up.
