After taking a few days to shake off the disappointment from Sunday’s loss to United, I still believe Arsenal will go all the way and win the league. This is only a minor setback.
Fun Fact: Did you know that in 2004, Manchester United ended Arsenal’s 49-game unbeaten league run in a fierce clash famously known as the “Battle of the Buffet”? The match was packed with controversy, with two penalties awarded to United. Ruud van Nistelrooy missed the first, but scored the second, before later retaliating by lashing out with a kick at Ashley Cole and elbowing players during challenges yet surprisingly escaped a red card. Then came the infamous tunnel incident, where a slice of pizza was thrown at Sir Alex Ferguson. Years later, Cesc Fàbregas admitted he was the one who threw it, while aiming at Rio Ferdinand.
