I witnessed my friend feel genuine empathy for my neighbour earlier today. I have always thought my friend is a bit "soft in the middle" (heard that today in a Paul Simon song) and I've always regarded that as a good thing. Do I have empathy for anyone or is it all just an act? Yes, I have quite a bit of empathy. I felt people today. My priorities are a bit stupidly out of order and I have one or two other issues but I experience empathy for others.
