Legendary female artist Frida Kahlo
A woman wearing iron supports stands in the center of the picture like a monument. Her body is split straight down the middle like the Great Rift Valley in East Africa. A broken Ionic Greek column replaces the position of the spine to support the body. Sharp iron nails are stuck all over her body. A large amount of tears rain down from a face without any trace of sadness but with a sense of determination - this is Frida's work "Broken Column". The author expressed her own physical pain in a visual form through her exaggerated techniques. P1
