one thing i like about reverse chron feeds is that they force you to unfollow people who post uninteresting/spammy content, because otherwise your feed will be filled with that content and it becomes unusable.
while people who use for you / algorithmic feeds exclusively tend to have their following list grow continuously with no garbage collection making their follow graphs less effective.
both types are needed to serve different moods/settings/uses.
