“Insectageddon”: entomologists predict “half the tree of life” could soon be wiped out with our unprecedented “catastrophic” insect ecocide. Amazing article by Tess McClure from the Guardian. Pesticides, industrial agriculture, fertilizers, light pollution, and habitat loss are killers. Will they recover?

I think (and worry) about this all the time. People complain about seeing fewer fireflies, while at the same time, bagging up their leaves and throwing them away, using Roundup on dandelions, and more.

Also this is a great documentary film that touches on some of those subjects - the changes needed to live in a bit more harmony with nature - https://www.apricotlanefarms.com/biggest-little-farm/

A new study just found that glyphosate, used in treating people’s lawns, causes cancer!! Same thing, people who live within 1 mile of golf courses are 3x as likely to develop parkinson’s. So sad seeing fewer insects😭😭😭
