what worries me is that everyone is predicting (one could argue manifesting) outcomes based on our clearly toxic past when we have a situation that hasn't been before with potential we've never had.I think all political and economic theory must be reformulated, we can do way better than capitalism vs socialism.

The AI taking all jobs, and jobs being supposedly what gives human purpose reveals how empty are some people. Yes, we need to feel useful and we need purpose, but most jobs and people don't get it from underpaid, monotonous jobs. And the "intellectuals" defending that from their privileged position are retarded and disconnected from the real world. As usual.
