I agree. Just wanted to point out the nuance that an identity is controlled by one or many keys. I feel identity is not just the key itself.

EAS is great. Attestation is definitely a big usecase of the tech. We also landed up here by following the SSI/W3C thought process. And figuring out a way to increase the proliferation of keys through a social usecase.

The answer lies in who controls the user identity. The server controls your account/identity in activity pub, not the user. Every user needs to run their own server if they want full control.
