Looking for channel owners that spend at least 5 hours a week on growing and managing their channels. I had a group of people like this last fall, but a bunch of those people no longer seem to be actively working on their channel. Want to find the people that are *currently* committed to channels. Please reply here if that’s you.

i stopped investing time in channels because they were de-prioritized. would happily reverse course if i knew it wouldn't be wasted effort

Roughly when did you feel they were deprioritized?

πŸ’―. Posting in a channel feels like a weird legacy feature that will soon be sunset. An old discord server with a few bots lingering around

Same here. I wished it went farther than a private group chat (outside of posts) and more like a community hub.

I just use them like hashtags now. Would be totally opening to replacing them with tags.

I couldn't agree more. I dedicated my time to my channel, spending about two hours daily on it. I worked on its promotion, and yes, for some time, new users joined, and we had some lovely conversations there. However, the algorithm doesn't favor such content. While I still maintain a positive outlook, to be honest, it took too much of my time over six months. This is about /ecocaster – the largest environmental community on Farcaster. I hope that dwr will also read and shift the focus a bit to channels, but overall what a mournful and shameful experience Owners have also abandoned their channels and many don't even checking it anymore. Personally, I only go into my channels for moderating purposes. I don't even write there.

Same here ... also we had a shift and now the DAO works rather on the account than the channel. It was just not as adopted. But happy to take in new teachings πŸ€“

That's an interesting point. What kind of de-prioritization have you observed with channels?
