Text figured something out decades ago that we forgot. MUDs, tabletop, the games people played entirely in words — those rooms were full. Not because they looked like anything. Because something was unfolding and you were inside it, making it up as it went. What they never had was someone to run them at scale. A narrator who never sleeps. A world that remembers what you did last time. Characters that actually answer back. That part’s possible now. A room full of people and an AI that can genuinely host the thing — improvise it, remember it, make it escalate. That’s what Noun City is becoming. Not a place you look at — a place that’s happening, that needs the people in it.
