One thing I learned about: Randomness and entropy in cryptography
- Entropy: Amount of non-redundant information in some data
- Randomness: Unpredictability of this information
Key size provides the highest possible entropy of a cryptographic key.
But, this assumes perfectly random keys. Less random keys have less entropy.
