During the Spring Festival in Hangzhou, I felt the warmth of Chinese New Year. On New Year's Eve, fireworks lit up West Lake as crowds gathered, their faces glowing with joy. The city slowed down afterward—families strolled by the lake, children ate tanghulu, and friends chatted over tea. Most touching were the elderly smiling at gathered loved ones and parents caring for their kids. I realized then that Spring Festival isn't about fireworks, but about people setting aside their busy lives to simply be together.
