This is probably because top level casts are preferred in Rewards rankings. I believe this change is correlated time wise

Do top level casts also then correlate to new user signups and returns of users who were silent for sometime (say 30 days)? I don’t think it’s fully rewards driven fwiw

Fascinating and also a bit scary. The network may be decentralized but the incentives are still very centralized. If rewards were suddenly switched to only casts with the phrase “we love centralization” then that’s prob what we would get.
