Most of Monad’s founding team comes from market-making giant Jump Trading. Among them, Monad founder Keone Hon was Jump Trading’s head of research and worked at the company for 8 years. Another Monad co-founder, James Hunsaker, is a senior software engineer at Jump Trading and a lead maintainer of Pyth Network. James Hunsaker was also the whistleblower for Jump Trading’s manipulation of Terra (UST) last year. Monad is different in that many blockchains have strong investor funding, but applications on them are not very popular. In contrast, Monad has its own applications under development, backed by well-known institutions; these applications include Kintsu, Kuro, Monad Pad, and Appriori.
As the testnet launch approaches, the Monad ecosystem has become a new opportunity for monetization. 0 reply
