Accidentally let a .name domain lapse, going to file a ERDRP complaint trying to get it back. ChatGPT claims it is a ($1500-expensive) slam dunk, let's see.

> When Trump pulled out in 2018, Iran resumed enrichment, turned off cameras, accelerated its program. That wasn’t the response of a wronged party seeking diplomatic redress. "Diplomatic redress" sounds like a gentleman's disagreement you can appeal to the WTO to. On the other side was always "maximum pressure" and capitulation (give up their ideological position of actively opposing Israel, voluntarily or by force). When the US violated their side of the bargain - once Iran already made its concessions of destroying centrifuges, shipping out material! - Iran/EU tried to keep the JCPOA going for a while, but e.g. Germany couldn't prevent it's own ex-state owned phone company from shutting off the Iranian embassy in the face of secondary sanctions. The justifications that the regime is messianic don't hold water, and no one has even bothered to make a serious argument that this is so.

You better be an expert when you are going to beat the drums of war; but the bar is orders of magnitude lower for those opposing.

.casa is a great TLD for your homelab network. cheap, fits the purpose, and wide open namespace.

In python all models keep generating blanket try…except: clauses that would hide crashes and it can’t be a reasoning problem imo. Keep wondering where it picks that up on. Maybe: There is a disproportionate amount of Python code out there from data science etc where these sort of engineering principles aren’t well established and also don’t really matter much.

So the Canadian government introduced a tax change that applies retroactively to December *1990*, am I reading this right? https://nationalmagazine.ca/en-ca/articles/cba-influence/submissions/2023/taxes-should-not-be-retroactive
