Some songs never get old. I was 11 years old when this one came out. The lyrics are profound though.
They capture one of the main society’s challenges and I love it for the meaning and the energy. It reminds me of something we all experience and of the journey I have gone through in my own life.
It reminds me that no matter what we do, there is always someone who doesn’t approve, who judges, who think they know better. So what.
Today I dance in a celebration of my freedom, and I don’t care about who likes it or not. The point is - we’re all just one decision away from experiencing our full potential.
So this is your reminder to care less about what others think and more about how you want to feel.
