World Wetlands Day is marked on February 2 to help folks see how vital wetlands are in our earth and push for their care.
The day is for the signing of Ramsar Agreement on Wetlands in 1971 in Iran, it aims to stop fast loss of wet lands all over the w͏orld.
Wet lands have swamps, marshes, and lakes. They are very key for lots of types, aid to clean water, control water time frames, and fight climate change. But wetlands face danger from pollution habitat loss and climate change.
On World Wetlands Day, folks are urged to join in things like learning talks, strolls or helping tasks to guard these key spots.
Didd you know that swampy areas are sometimes named the "kidneys of an Earth" because they help clean bad stuff from water just like kidneys clean out waste from our body?
