It's not my habit, but today I need your help. For real. The sailplane club in Rouen, France, is being under attack by people who want to destroy a non-profit association, its community and all the knowledge, friendship and environmental consciousness for the sake of building more industrial activity. Please, aviatio...

We are now at the mercy of token sellers. If you build with AI, your margins and even product viability depend on pricing and rate limits you do not control. A small change can break unit economics overnight. Open weights, local inference and model diversity are not ideology, they are risk management.

And now I found I can simply write ETH as ð
Managed to read up 1300, guessed most of 1200, and gave up at 1100 https://www.deadlanguagesociety.com/p/how-far-back-in-time-understand-english

I doubt the majority of future dev think like that, but I admire this and can only advise any wannabe dev to follow @thecurioushermit example. I have my 40y+ dev XP behind me so AI is just a tool to go faster. But I really worry about how new devs will be able to learn without falling in the laziness trap AI is setti...
I'm learning it because I want to learn it myself. When I use AI, it's to have it help me degub my code and better understand a concept, not have it write it for me. I'm not optimizing to get as much done in as short of time as possible, I'm optimizing for personal knowledge and cognitive challenge.

I struggle to understand the appeal of pellet stoves. They are often bulky, make constant fan noise, and unlike traditional wood stoves they depend entirely on electricity for ignition and feeding. In a power outage, most models simply stop working.

I did some research on how to declare a webcam in public restricted space (airfield) with no surveillance goal and no image recording. But it seems a camera has to be for surveillance, no gov site allows you to declare a camera that just shows a big green grass runway, trees, clouds and a windsock if you can't identif...

I've always thought we should write laws with git too.
A pitch deck is a lossy compression of reality tuned for maximum appeal. A pitch .md in a GitHub repo is version-controlled, forkable, and transparent. You can see the entire history of how the founders described their own company. That's a better signal than gradient fills. https://www.joanwestenberg.com/the-pitc

Some important reminders trop the 1930s: "The fictitious money that states are now producing on a massive scale." ... "real money can never be created in this way. A banknote does not become money simply because the state designates it as such and forces the population to consider it as such." ... "However, it is rare ...

After 10+ years in crypto, I have a new correlation to drive my investment decisions. The better the t-shirt quality and graphic design at a booth or launch, the higher the probability the project fails or rugs. Good branding is not a signal of substance. It is often a signal of budget allocation.
