Designers, we need your input! I'm putting together a short research series to map out the tools designers on Farcaster actually use in their day-to-day workflows. I'll post one question a week, each focused on a different software category. Your responses will help build a community-sourced snapshot of the modern design toolkit for an updated edition of @antimofm.eth's Condensed Intelligent Designer pocketbook. As a thank you, I will be tipping 8,000,000 $figlibrary to every qualified response. Every contribution genuinely helps!

atmo.studio is live! Atmo is my solo design practice built to be a brand & product design partner for founders and early-stage teams with long-term vision building for real, positive impact. I craft thoughtful brand and product systems rooted in your unique story, creating the design layer in your business that connects what you do to why it matters. When your product is forming but the story isn't obvious yet, every decision can feel like a gamble. Atmo Studio exists to bring restraint, clarity, and taste to that moment. The studio is intentionally small and built on deep, ongoing partnerships where I bring senior-level strategy and creative execution, at the fraction of the cost of a full-time hire, and help you build lasting design capacity that will scale with your business. If you're in need of the firepower of a full creative studio without the overhead, I'm here for you. → Follow /atmostudio to see studio work, resources, and design thinking. → DM me if you want to learn more or have a project in mind. → Share atmo.studio with anyone you think would be a great fit. I'm here to create lasting impact for people, place, and planet. I'll share a deeper write-up on the studio's principles and working model soon. For now, let's get to work.

The median number of followers for people on Farcaster who have checked in at the Network School is 30. And an overwhelming majority of those people either have zero activity on their account for 6+ months or did not have accounts until the Network State acquisition, with little to no activity other since other than signing their code of conduct. These are not Farcaster users. These are not representatives of the culture that has grown here over many years. There are virtually no Network State citizens who are actively part of Farcaster. And yet these are now first class citizens of Farcaster. I do not begrudge the people who chose to call the Network School their home well before the acquisition. I don’t begrudge the ones packing up to head there now. I don’t begrudge the ones jumping onto Farcaster for the first time, and I hope they do become active members of this community. I don’t seek to “other” the citizens of the Network School who are just as swept up in this as the rest of us. But they have all opted in to that culture. That rule of law. Physically uprooted their lives and lifestyles to opt in. The rest of us, the ones who have been building here for years, contributing to its culture and its promise, finding solace in a safe digital space, woke up to the false choice to comply to this new code of conduct or exile ourselves. Many more were silenced without warning before they could even make that decision for themselves. Silenced by a code of conduct established by people who aren’t even an active part of this network. This screams of outside takeover, not peaceful transition of power. Digital colonialism, not democracy. The cleansing of the filth inside, rather than acceptance and coexistence of what exists and what remains. I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. Remain cautiously optimistic. But the data doesn’t lie. How can these actions be in good faith of democracy when they are carried out by individuals that don’t even represent those they seek to govern? No amount of alternative clients will change that. Access to the network may be decentralized over time but what about power to shape the network beyond this nexus? Farcaster belongs to the people of Farcaster, and if this truly be a digital democracy then we have every right and responsibility to speak up and demand those in power do better, without fear of retribution or retroactive punishment.

Out of the shadows and into the light. The @designcabal has emerged with the first commemorative collection for the 2026 cohort of Farcaster's best and brightest. Whether you're in Rome or wishing you were, you can now wear your pride and rep your peers wherever you show up for the network. Preorders for the collection is live: nodemerch.com/store/DC All items ship out in 3-4 weeks, internationally. A huge shoutout to @fffflood and @victoctero for leading the charge on this collection design, to @nodemerch for setting up a slick checkout experience, and to the rest of the design cabal who have pitched in along the way. First of many projects from the DC. See y'all at the 2026 reunion 🥳
