It took nearly all of 2025 for this proclamation to be true but as I look back I couldn’t be more proud of this journey. Not every journey is a linear path from A to B, and even those sometimes require many places to rest before continuing onward. The truth is I wasn’t entirely focused on this path but with my work at Decent ending recently there is nothing else in the way to cloud that clarity and keep me from marching onward. 2025 was an incredible year. I felt a return to my creative practice that I had lost for years. I had a lot of rust to shake off, and still do, but I also have several more years of design leadership experience to hold me up. I dove deeper into new creative hobbies, like photography. I found a pathway to turn my oldest hobby, coffee, into a means of building community and, hopefully, a business opportunity with my partner. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. Now, looking at the months ahead there is no shortage of hard work. I have even bigger goals for 2026 and it’s only going to get more difficult. But the important switch is that, for the first time in my career, I’m completely in charge and I get to choose what that path looks like. Going into January, I have one design partner in the queue and several more leads before any official announcements and earnest outreach. Well, Consider this the official soft launch of atmo.studio. Let’s get to work.
