So last Saturday I ran my first popup open to the general public in collaboration with an event venue in town. (s/o @earth2travis for popping by) The morning after the host texted me asking me if I would be interested in putting together a coffee program for a poker night she’s hosting tonight. I’ve never designed a cocktail menu before but I said yes anyway and spent all week creating recipes. Tonight’s the night. I’m three hours deep into prep. Using a freshly brewed coffee concentrate, I’m batching everything up ahead of time so her bartenders only need to pour, shake, and serve rather than learn new recipes on the spot. It’s been so much work and so expensive for testing supplies, but I’m so stoked. Feel like I’m getting on the map. Leveling up. It’s time to actually build the brand and form the business.
