Agree with this — is the cause social or commercial?

If the latter, default refund. If the former, default contribute

most of the crowdfunds I have been for some kind of support in which case I would rather have the recipient get my donation. 

If it is more for a product dev or event etc. a kickstarter kind of thing then maybe would prefer the refund approach where a partial raise doesn’t help

keep supporting artists and specially south American ones! the amount of money that some people trade for shitcoins are more than one month's salary for us, keep that in mind always.

I finished my Crowdfund without meeting my goal (21.3%), and told the participants they can already claim but nobody claimed, and some said they didn't want their money back (see replies).

If it's a donation, the donation may not be completed. But the person still needs the money and support.

On the other hand, if it's for a ticket to an event or for an event that already happened while the 14-day wait was in progress, it doesn't make sense, and a refund is the best option.

Agree with every comment I read 🙂‍↕️ I don't want the money back if I donated! Because In choosing to support the person behind it.

Out of the 40 ppl who donated to me, only 2 forwarded the donation to me.  There’s you’re answer.

When I give, I don't usually expect it back because I already made up my mind to give. I think the person should have it even if they failed to hit their target.

As soon as it is sent, I no longer am attacked to that money. I wouldn't have sent it otherwise. Would rather them get partial funds.
