Digging a pond and living off the land sounds great in theory, but in reality it’s tough.
Unless you go somewhere extremely remote with no neighbors, it’s almost impossible.
Around populated areas, even 1,000m² of land already costs around 1 billion VND, and once you add construction and setup costs, you’re looking at 2 billion+ just to start a “hidden life” in the countryside.
The hardest part?
Still needing to create stable income — enough to live on and enough to pay for your children’s education.
It’s rough.
