reversed formula:
p = w / 0.04
if w = 69,000 →
p = 69,000 / 0.04 = 1,725,000
now inflation reality check:
if long‑term real return ≈ 3% (say 5% return − 2% inflation),
then safer math is:
p = w / 0.03 = 2,300,000
translation:
1.7m if you trust the classic 4% rule.
~2.3m if you want extra padding for inflation chaos.
