if you're the creator of the post, you get 1% when it's created. if other people buy it then you'll be able to sell it. tho I generally don't recommend it - I think it's good to own your work and I expect buyers will be less likely to buy in the future if you're always selling on them. 

the good thing is you don't need to sell to earn. you earn whenever anyone else buys or sells your post, like a royalty! we are already seeing creators earn thousands of dollars from this.

Oh that’s crazy about the ads. It makes a lot of sense that they’re taking away the money from you and restricting things :/ i do wonder why and how (with each post being its own coin) does someone sell a post? I guess to cash in on what they already got out of it financially?

as more people buy your post, MC goes up. as they sell, it goes down. you earn 1% on all the volume. you can think about it like a market for the attention the post is getting!

this isn't that different from how centralized social media works today - except for they are doing all the valuing in private then monetizing with ads. by moving the valuing to the free market, we make it open and can redirect the monetization to you.

With respect to the nuanced answers others have given, it's also important to be aware of the downside. 
As soon as something is on the free market, it's subjected to free market rules, meaning people can leverage your coin by front running it. 
I'm not saying thats a guaranteed outcome, but it is possible and has been done many, many times before. 
All this to say, it's best to devise a strategy to hedge against this reality. 

Some more context to educate you on how front running works. (A timely video to make if you feel so inclined)

Doesn’t matter if you tell anyone. As soon as anything is tokenized it’s exposed to this potential outcome. 
The more popular and anticipated something is, the greater the chance of this happening. 

For this reason I’m more into limited NFTs, as people can still support and own a piece of content you created, but can’t apply the same tactics to drain its value. That’s not to say that option doesn’t have its own issues (things can still lose value based on the amount of holders and sellers), but it’s more controlled.

What I would recommend experimenting with is this:
Start a @hypersub, which is like an onchain patreon. Ask people who like your videos what they’d be willing to pay to support. Custom video request are popular offers I’ve seen other video creators do. 
People don’t just like what you make videos about, but they like how you do it, so that’s a fair offer.
Just a suggestion, and by no means do you have to do that, but thought it would be helpful to think about

Does this mean I shouldn’t tell anyone I’m about to post something? Just wondering from a security perspective. Great read

Most users would hurry and buy 

The more they buy the market cap increases 

Attracting more people and getting more views and then more demand

So the popularity first starts with the creator

How would you measure popularity and high demand?

Concerning the market cap changing 

It depends on the buy and sell orders and number of holders of the post coin. 

More buys and more holders equals higher market cap 

More sells and less holders equals less market cap 

Things like popularity, high demand can be factored into the equation
