Today, we’re learning about the toxic methylmercury in fish that we eat! It’s important to not eat too much, especially if you’re pregnant, to prevent cognitive defects and immune systems issues. It occurs with processes called biomagnification and bioaccumulation absorbing the toxin into fatty tissues. Thanks!!

It’s just soo sad that what used to be a super healthy food, that many costal peoples had as the main part of their diet, only 100 years ago is now toxic to eat more than once in a while….😓

🤩🤩🤩 You did it Newt, easy to understand and captivating. Can eating too much of tuna sashimi, contribute to this menace of condition. Fun fact is Methylmercury is very oxidative and can cause irreparable damage to the human body.

Really eye-opening! I didn’t realize how serious methylmercury could be. The fact that it builds up through bioaccumulation makes it even more concerning. Have any guidelines been set on how often we should eat fish safely?

So much info across so many videos!!! When are you gonna turn it into a structured course? You make so much content, I’d love to see your creative way to organize all of this by topics My mini beef w Fc video is just that I usually pop in only for a few minutes at a time and having sound on isn’t always an option but I’d love to see a few related videos stacked together when I’ve finally got more time to spare!
