Just discovered @paragraph and published an article I wrote back in February about trends I expected to see in 2023. https://paragraph.xyz/@nefko.eth/what-ill-be-watching-in-2023?modal=subscribe How do things look as we draw to a close in 2023?

Looking back from November 2023, I think that "Trend 1" is starting. I've used several web3 apps lately and the "social" experiences are improving dramatically. Teams are starting to infuse web2-style usability into web3 infrastructure and principles. Social protocols are a big part of what is making this possible.

I haven't seen as much movement on trend 2: most of the projects I've run into this year are still focused on building either user experiences for individuals, or online communities for web3 natives. I'd love to hear if anyone is working on projects that use web3 principles to solve problems for existing communities.
