The importance of governance tokens is being redefined. In the past, governance was often a buzzword, with little real power given to holders. But as DAOs mature, governance starts to resemble corporate structures: treasury management, voting, delegation, and accountability. Investors should no longer ignore governance mechanics. A token with poor governance structure is like a stock without shareholder rights. Strong governance frameworks will become a premium factor for valuations.
