Just saw @bfresh review of the dGEN1. Many reasonable points and improvement suggestions. I just want to clarify a couple of points:

-The airdrop claim app is not functional right now on purpose. We are going to activate once most of the first batch devices are shipped

-To use dapps directly from the Browser, please always use the pre-installed Firefox Browser. We extended it to inject our wallet into the websites that support it. Ofc it still requires some testing and we appreciate reports.

-We are aware of the lag experienced by some dapps from the dapp store. We are investigating potential fixes

-DeFi Holding will be added to the wallet at some point. Good feedback

- Currently, all dapps in the dapp store were added manually by us. We will host a page where devs can submit their apps soon-ish

-We do not rely on wallet connect for connecting to dapps. We may tap into it if it's the only way to inject our wallet into the dapp.

That's good to know! Already factory reset my device trying to figure out how tf the recovery works 😂

Tried using the NFC card per the manual on the freedomfactoryrecovery url, but it just prompted me to create a new wallet on the burner-site. I thought when I tapped the card and setup the pin during Dgen1 setup, it created a recovery wallet?

Anyways I couldn't find any assemblance of the recovery working, so I factory reset and set my ENS as the recovery. Now I can't find how to trigger that method of recovery either.

Any guidance by chance? 🙏 Just want to understand and be prepared before I consider loading significant funds lol

Every mobile device has IMEI identification numbers. To redeem assets from the pool, you basically just sign your IMEI and send it to our api that will check that it's genuine, and it will unlock your share of the pull.

About the airdrop wallet, I realize that it is the best way now to send funds to all phones, but will there be an easy way to do this in the future? Do all wallets come with an identifying NFT or something we can use to key off?
