I first discovered Farcaster (Warpcast at the time) at the end of February 2024. A game I had been playing had just shut down, and when I got together with some friends who were also sad to see it end, one of them told me about Warpcast. I couldn’t speak English. I had no idea what I was supposed to do there, and I couldn’t even find where the Japanese community was. So I simply posted little things about my everyday life, one short post at a time. Then one day, someone told me, “You should be able to claim DEGEN.” At the time, I had never even used a crypto wallet before. The person I met there taught me everything from the very beginning. (Looking back now, I realize how scary that actually was 😅 But that’s how completely new to crypto I was — I didn’t even know enough to know what I should be afraid of.) That was where my world of crypto began to open up. If I had never come to Farcaster, I probably would have left crypto without ever learning to love it.
