GM! GN! 🇱🇹 Today I want to give some attention for Lithuania Flag!
This flag’s story begins long before the tricolor. In the 15th century, the powerful Grand Duchy of Lithuania used banners featuring the Vytis — the mounted knight still found in Lithuania’s coat of arms today.
After centuries of political change and more than a century under the Russian Empire, the Lithuanian national revival led to independence in 1918 — and the birth of the yellow-green-red tricolor.

The flag disappeared under Soviet rule, returned in 1988, even before independence was restored, and in 2004 returned to its historic 3:5 ratio.
