Mont Saint-Michel is a unique island fortress in Normandy, famous for its Gothic monastery on the clifftop. I remember it for its incredibly fast tide, when the waves came in at the speed of a running horse. I'd love to see it again!

This photograph is straight out of a Snow Queen fairy tale. At certain times of the year, an unusual phenomenon can be observed on the rivers of the Kaliningrad region: ice "flowers" bloom on the thin surface of the ice in a matter of seconds. These "flowers" are whimsical shapes, reminiscent of white flower petals with sharp edges. Each petal is a thin sheet of ice with veins, just like a real leaf. In reality, this unusual formation is caused by water crystals exposed to subzero temperatures.

Some bears exhibit remarkable, almost "human-like" behavior—they can sit motionless for long periods, simply gazing at lakes, forests, or mountain peaks, as if enjoying the beauty around them. Scientists haven't yet come to a consensus on the precise reason behind this behavior. It could be a form of rest, a way to more closely monitor their surroundings, or even something deeper. Bears are known to be highly intelligent and social creatures: they can play, remember things for many years, and even grieve.
