“EIP-7702 enables simple Ethereum wallets (EOAs) to upgrade into smart contract wallets[...] Historically, smart wallets have had to be created from scratch, but with the introduction of EIP-7702, traditional wallets, with all of their assets and onchain history, can upgrade and keep the same wallet address. It’s like switching from a landline to a smart phone without having to get a new number.”
