💯 neglecting empty states and especially the cold start problem for new users is one of the most common “big misses” I see repeated by designers at all levels. the right empty state design has the power to affirm brand personality, drive action, and inject delight — if done right.

pretty incredible Perplexity AI Fellowship session today with Jensen - no goals, the journey is the goal - context engineering - the age of questioning - reasoning multimodal models will take over robotics soon - the next couple years will be heavy on training, simulating worlds - don’t allow outlook to control what you do (eg. doesn’t wear a watch bc “I have plenty of time”)

fwiw very common in America too. love these for old fashioneds and other cocktails And I second the tip about picking a rigid plastic box. The silicon can get funky with the freezer smells and even holds onto dishwasher detergent taste. Just my experience tho.

one of the most beautiful parts about parenthood is having the opportunity to pass forward love where your own parents struggled when you were a kid. the chance to do just a little bit better each generation. a little more toward love and a little less dysfunction — if we’re lucky. my parents tended toward a disciplinarian approach. I now have the chance to intentionally move us away from some of that with my own kids. that’s healing.

agreed. simplify. my team recently worked with a partner building a blockchain-based resumé (LER - learner employer record) solution — in a recent study, they saw a **600% YoY increase** in total human cost required just to review incoming job applicant resumés. 600 PERCENT. Because every resume can be tailored with AI precisely to the job post, none can be easily disqualified and the total volume is greater with AI bots doing the submitting. It's breaking the traditional talent pipeline in many ways and it's not sustainable.
