Would it be feasible to build a multi-country African stablecoin AMM where each country issues its own USDC‑pegged stablecoin (e.g., KES‑USDC, NGN‑USDC), and users can seamlessly swap between them on-chain?

Microtransactions Drive the Economy, And I Just Now Got It Most transactions in Kenya are small, a tuk-tuk ride is 70 KES, a chapati is 20 KES, matatu fares range from 50-100 KES. These tiny payments fuel the economy, keeping money circulating fast. Safaricom gets it, M-PESA transactions under 100 KES are free because they know microtransactions power commerce. At the same time, @base.base.eth makes on-chain transactions ultra-cheap, allowing USDC payments for fractions of a cent. Element Pay bridges the two, leveraging Base’s efficiency and M-PESA’s simplicity, making USDC payments feel like mobile money, fast, seamless, and frictionless. Instead of off-ramping on exchanges, users stay on-chain while keeping the ease of M-PESA. Microtransactions aren’t just theory. They’re how economies in Africa function, and now, we can bring them on-chain without losing what works. 🚀 @joethuku

This week I built: A new event aggregator for Element Pay and I’m still testing it to ensure it communicates seamlessly with our smart contract. The smart contract has been upgraded to a proxy contract with added access control to secure methods like settling orders—special thanks to @joethuku for this! If you’re interested in contributing, check out the GitHub repo: github.com/element-pay/... Let me know your thoughts or feedback!

This Week on Base I just joined Warpcast, and this is my first cast! Grateful to @joethuku for onboarding me to Farcaster and introducing me to on-chain development opportunities. Also, a big thanks to @bivvon and @sir-damilare , for helping us debug the frontend integration of Elements Pay’s onramp. We are now tackling some challenges around smart wallet integration and bundling. Looking forward to refining the UX and rolling out these updates soon! GitHub Repository: github.com/element-pay/ Live Demo: element-sooty.vercel.app – Feedback is welcome!
