Working on market positioning today. It's a constant teeter-totter of "oh my God what was I thinking I can't compete" and then looking at competition, digging a bit into them, and realizing I have key differentiators and, often, more experience.

That said, GPT is now analyzing a backing track that I'll be using during my podcast intro to suggest how long I should have the music and when I should start my intro, and that's pretty impressive...

I set up MSTY with an Anthropic API key because the huge amount of context I'm using means I could only do 5-10 prompts on claude.ai before hitting my limit.

It's pretty involved. I'm going to write a mini-course or tutorial at some point. In brief: 1. Very long instruction sets with examples of my past work and multiple projects/agents. 2. Come up with an idea and use Claude to write learning objectives and research questions. 3. Research with Perplexity. 4. Copy/paste research from Perplexity into Claude and write an outline using my instructional design agent. 5. Record myself teaching through the outline. 6. Transcribe using Whisper. 7. Give a Claude project (with its instruction set) the learning objectives, research, outline, and transcript to write the first draft. 8. Prompt to edit some. 9. Copy/paste into Grammarly to edit further. 10. Copy/paste into Libre Writer for final typesetting and editing. I've been doing this long enough (20+ years) that I can tell the final output is very similar to what I would have written but I'm producing it around 3 times faster than I have in the past.

I love Claude for writing, but the outage this morning is killing me. It forced me to get back onto ChatGPT for the first time in a while, and honestly, that's working just fine. I renewed my ChatGPT Pro subscription to get some work done. Might cancel Claude and only use it via the API going forward.

I recorded a screenshare using OBS and then edited it with Davinci and that was surprisingly fun. The subject was the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Questionnaire. I built a spreadsheet to help calculate that this morning and I'm including it as a bonus resource in my chapter on Resolving Conflict.

All core videos are updated/uploaded! I also realized over the weekend that I can launch before creating the next two courses. I have a piece of leadgen I want to make, but it won't take nearly as long. I may be 2-3 weeks from launching instead of 6ish.

I've been thinking about how to make some that tie into my work, like "here's how you resolve conflict." I don't think looking at people's casts would work for that, and I doubt people want to do a full quiz through a mini app. I might make it anyways to find out, though.

ALRIGHT, all core videos for Leading Product Teams, my first masterclass via /fieldway , are edited and ready for upload. Still to do: 1) Write an intro/outro for the course 2) Record/edit the intro/outro 3) Record audio for the chapter introductions so I can include them in the podcast version 4) Add the rest of the figures/diagrams to the eBook, then upload that and record/edit an explanation for it 5) Create the podcast, link it, and record/edit an explanation for it 6) Create a sheet to help people assess their conflict resolution style 7) Record a screenshare and explanation of using the conflict resolution style calculator 8) Record/edit a calendar cadence tutorial 9) Create an onboarding email automation 10) Create the course walkthrough email drip feed (slow and fast versions) 11) Create a funnel page 12) Do all the things for mini-course 1 13) Do all the things for mini-course 2 14) Revise/redesign website 15) Set up all billing and shopping carts 16) Set up all integrations and automations

Sure! I've got a couple of ideas for Zapier that I can run by you. Most of my automation will be within my platform, so it's more figuring out the business logic and then building it so user records are updated in the CRM when learners take certain actions, and to fire off emails automatically. But I also want to update the CRM when the user downloads an episode of a podcast, and automatically add/remove people from an async coaching platform based on CRM state (which will update after a payment action), so all of that needs to be figured out. I won't be doing all that until after the two mini-courses are done, so probably 4 weeks, give or take.

Yeah, I'm doing all the things. I'm completely bootstrapped, and any money I spend is money that's not going towards the mortgage or putting food on the table. But it's good for me to learn all of this. Eventually, I can outsource part of it, and I'll do that more successfully when I can better describe and demonstrate the outcomes that I want. Without having learned what I have over the last year, I wouldn't know how to communicate those goals. 6 more weeks to launch. 200+ more hours of work for the other courses and all the marketing and sales automation.

Thanks man. I'm both excited to be done with this stage, and also feeling the weight of all the work that remains. I /might/ have this course done by the end of next week, but it'll be a near thing. I haven't added it up lately, but I'm betting I'll have around 500 hours suck into it once everything is said and done.
