French police rescue Ledger co-founder after kidnapping
On January 23, 2025, at a press conference, Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuo announced the success of the operation to rescue Ledger co-founder David Balland and his wife, conducted by the French GIGN unit.
The kidnappers attacked the couple on January 21 and demanded a cryptocurrency ransom from another co-founder of the company.
Seven of the 10 individuals arrested will be tried.
