Zama was founded in 2020 with a bold ambition: to bring Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) — a technology once thought to exist only in theory — into real-world use.
The early days were filled with relentless challenges, sleepless nights, and lines of code written from scratch, driven by unwavering belief.
In 2022, Zama launched Concrete and TFHE-rs, high-performance FHE libraries that marked a major breakthrough. These were not just technical achievements — they were the result of perseverance and constant innovation.
By 2023, Zama partnered with blockchain pioneers like Aleph Zero, Mina, and Iron Fish to enable FHE-powered smart contracts. It also built AI tools capable of running directly on encrypted data — bridging privacy and intelligence.
From 2024 to 2025, Zama focused on making FHE more accessible to developers through intuitive, developer-friendly platforms — as easy to use as any familiar API.
