The network is raising the minimum base fee from 2M to 5M wei to keep the chain healthier and more stable. @base.base.eth
This means:
Faster transaction inclusion during high traffic
More stable and predictable fees (low in normal times, scale in peaks)
Less spam and low-value bloat, improving overall network integrity
Still cheap, just more efficient and reliable.
